Help Restful Sleep

A person needs between 7 – 9 hours of good quality sleep to feel alert throughout the day.

Here's a few tips for a good sleep:-
  • Keep your bedroom at a comfortable temperature.
  • Attempt to go to bed and get up at the same time every day.
  • Avoid drinking caffeinated coffee or tea before going to bed.
  • Invest in a decent, comfortable mattress.
  • Try not to exercise before going to bed.
  • Avoid alcohol before bed.
  • Don’t go to bed hungry.
  • If you can’t get to sleep for over half an hour get out of bed and do something until you feel sleepy again.
  • Use natural remedies to help you relax.
  • Try not to have bright light in your bedroom before going to sleep. A dimmer switch is a good option.
  • Try playing some relaxation music before you go to sleep
  • Try not to stimulate your mind just before sleep. Leave studying, working and the TV out of the bedroom.
  • If you work shifts or go to bed early, make sure you have heavy curtains to block out the light.
  • Don’t count sheep – it’s a myth!! Try one of the self hypnosis CD’s.
There are many ways to help relax the body and mind to ensure a restful sleep.
